Taisan
Taisan is very famous Japanese style painter. He is Painter, Illustrator and Calligraphy Master and Artist based in NYC.
Taisan started his career in 2000 in Tokyo. After many exhibitions in galleries throughout Japan, his unique art became a phenomenon.
In 2011, after the great earthquake and tsunami that devastated the Tohoku region of Japan, the ministry of defense wanted to thank the american military for their help during this crisis. They asked master Taisan to perform a live calligraphy in front of the officals. The word chosen by Taisan was the word "Gratitude".
Then Taisan moved to the city in 2015.
He has exhibited globally including solo exhibitions and performances at Frankfurt in Germany, Oviedo in Spain, Stockholm in Sweden and more..

田中 太山
和歌山県生まれ、ニューヨーク在住。書と絵の組み合わせを得意とする書画家。
代表作に文字を絵にする「笑文字（えもじ）」や二本の大筆を自在に操り書を揮毫する大作書画パフォーマンスがある。アメリカ、日本、ヨーロッパ、アジアにおいて個展やパフォーマンスを行っている。
